| The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), was founded in 1976, and is North America's oldest and largest professional home inspector society. The Coastal Connecticut chapter of ASHI devotes ourselves to our clients and to the ongoing improvement of our industry and its representatives. Coastal ASHI members far exceed the minimum requirements dictated by Sate licensing. ASHI requires the passage of a much more stringent National Home inspector exam and perform an additional 150 inspections above the Connecticut State minimum standards for membership. ASHI also requires 20 additional approved continuing education courses per year to maintain membership in the organization 10 more than the state requires. So when choosing an inspector, look beyond Connecticut State licensed Inspectors and demand a Coastal State Licensed ASHI Home Inspector. We hope that through this developing web sight we can be your guide to assist Buyers, Sellers, and Real Estate Professionals in the Home Inspection Environment.
